Creating an Artwork Specifically for You
My current inventory of artworks is for sale. Though, if you don’t see anything that your heart desires I will create a piece of art just for you — to match your desired aesthetic style and color palette for your home or business or your personal spaceship.
This is how the commission process works:
Step 1: You get in touch. Complete the online form or send me an email with your request. At this point you should have a general idea of what you’d like, perhaps your preferred color(s), desired style, possible dimensions and where you’d like to display the art. Your request doesn’t need to be super-specific yet since it serves as a starting point for our collaboration. We’ll use this information to dive deeper into your aesthetic preferences.
Step 2: We develop the vision. This is where the fun and collaboration begins. With your initial request in hand I’ll create a rough study, or two, to show you the colors that would work and in what style. We’ll use the studies to hone in on a preferred design and color palette that fits your aesthetic. This is a back-and-forth process between client and artist — the more back-and-forth with you, the better the end result. At this stage I’ll usually create 2-3 small mock-ups that will serve as the basis for your final decision. And throughout, I can fill you with as much detail as you wish on color theory, paint mixing, substrates, finishing and protection.
Step 3: I create and deliver. Once you’ve signed off on a preferred mock-up I’ll create your personalized work of art. This may also include a custom built canvas on stretcher bars. After the artwork is complete and had time to cure I’ll work to get it to you as safely as possible — hand delivered if you’re local, insured shipping if not. Then comes the best part — you hang the art in its new home and enjoy it for years to come.
